Rebecca Belton, PhD
Rebecca Belton is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin and Virginia. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College, and her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Counseling in Grace College’s CACREP-accredited graduate counseling program. Before stepping into a teaching role, she worked with those experiencing homelessness, providing counseling services in a long-term, residential substance use recovery program, and in an intensive outpatient program for a hospital, providing group counseling services.
Rebecca serves as Vice President for the Apple Valley Counselors Association, a chapter of the Virginia Counseling Association. She also serves as the faculty advisor for Alpha Chi Zeta, Grace College’s chapter of Chi Sigma Iota. Rebecca particularly enjoys teaching counseling skills, group counseling, addiction counseling, and practicum courses. Clinically, she enjoys working with addiction, anxiety, career, or spiritual issues. Rebecca’s research interests include substance use treatment and athlete mental health.
